About Me

Stephen Fisher is currently Founder, CTO, and Head of Engineering at a stealth startup, while also serving as Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Peak Synergy AI, dedicated to delivering AI's transformative power to improve day to day life - for teachers, security professionals, nurses, doctors, historians and writers, engineers, scientists, and artists who are improving the world one day at a time.
Stephen's current work focuses on crafting AI experiences that amplify human creativity rather than replace it, and bridge the divides between different cultures, teams and companies. His expertise spans production AI/ML systems, LLMs, RAG architectures, distributed computing, and creating intuitive interfaces that make sophisticated technology accessible to everyone.
With 30 years of experience building groundbreaking AI products from inception to billions in annual revenue, Stephen has pioneered and delivered technologies that fundamentally reshape how humans interact with technology. His innovations include developing text-to-speech systems that gave voice to Parkinson's patients, creating machine learning algorithms for early breast cancer detection, and architecting handwriting recognition that defined touch computing. At Microsoft Research, Windows and Office, he launched speech, voice recognition, digital ink and handwriting recognition platforms that revolutionized the way millions of users work with their personal computers.
Stephen has founded multiple startups and built entire organizations from scratch across Microsoft, F5 Networks, Cray, HPE, and his own ventures, transforming bold visions into market-defining products. At HPE/Cray, he led architectural design and product delivery for seven of the world's top ten supercomputers, including exascale systems with Slingshot interconnect technology, powering breakthrough research in nuclear physics, climate modeling, genetic sequencing, and weather prediction. At F5 Networks, he created the cloud networking division that redefined how enterprises deploy applications across hybrid infrastructures through Software-Defined Networking innovations. At Polyverse, he built AI systems for cybersecurity and code intelligence that protect critical infrastructure and commercial IP.
His leadership philosophy centers on building high-performance organizations that balance relentless innovation with sustainable talent growth. Stephen has repeatedly assembled and inspired diverse teams across Engineering, Operations, Product Management, and Solution Architecture to deliver mission-critical systems for government, healthcare, education, and enterprise clients. His B2B platforms have enabled thousands of developers and solution partners to build transformative applications on emerging technologies.
An inventor on multiple patents and alumnus of Central Washington University's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence program, Stephen brings the same intensity to urban gardening, sustainable farming and wilderness exploration as he does to technology innovation. When not architecting the future of human-AI collaboration, you'll find him in the garden, the forest, endurance biking through mountain passes, or backpacking with his family through hidden corners of the world.

Stephen's passion for exploration extends beyond technology into the world's diverse cultures and landscapes. Whether it's discovering the architectural marvels of European cities, connecting with international teams, or finding inspiration in the intersection of technology and human creativity across different cultures, he brings this global perspective to every project and collaboration.
